Best Rolling Loud Moments from Asap Rocky & a Helicopter to Kai Cenat’s Hoodie Gone Missing and More

Rolling Loud has cemented itself as the biggest hip-hop festival of this generation, entertaining the masses while inspiring the next wave of creators. With attendees like famed online streamer & YouTuber Kai Cenat to Beyonce’s famous backup dancer a.k.a. her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, there’s no doubt that Rolling Loud is the place to be. Though the festival draws a more youthful crowd, older music lovers can equally enjoy the new forms of hip-hop as keeping up with mainstream culture is a form of “broadening horizons” and staying current on the world’s ever-evolving taste. Appreciating today’s pop-culture is in ways, a key to staying young at heart or that’s what some inspirational quote on Twitter told me. Apologies Elon, I meant “X.”

Keeping up with the youth for as long as possible while embracing aging and appreciating the next generation even if your old a$$ wants to think your era was way better than now, well sorry but –wait, where am I going with this?!… That’s right, Rolling Loud: fresh, cool, and all the rage.

It’s impossible to ignore the festival’s massive pop-cultural footprint because “RL” (Rolling Loud) is not just about entertaining today’s society with live music, it’s about making a statement. With one of the most inventive live events teams: publicity agency Audible Treats and Rolling Loud’s visionary co-founders Tariq Cherif & Matt Zingler—it’s no surprise that RL is one of the biggest music festivals worldwide. Rolling Loud’s team is molding today’s pop-culture while taking what has worked in the past and building upon what will shape the future.

From an assortment of memorable moments such as Kai Cenat jumping onstage with Playboi Carti and throwing his hoodie into the crowd only to regret it seconds later to also Kai Cenat, before jumping onstage, being afraid that Playboi Carti perhaps has a devilish ritual happening throughout his performance. There are a ton of moments that make sense as to why a friend may have sent a text just to say, “Wish you were here..”

Frank151 once again highlights some of the best moments for Rolling Loud California 2025, but before we get to what you’ve probably already watched on your IG feed or actually experienced in person, let’s take a deeper dive into the question, “What is Rolling Loud?”

Rolling Loud is an international hip hop music festival held in Asia, North America, South America, Europe and Australia. Established in 2015, what makes Rolling Loud and its team a powerhouse is their deep understanding of trends, global culture, and pop culture, coupled with their relentless creativity. They continuously prove that hustle equals opportunity, even now expanding their empire into film.

A comedy inspired by the festival of the same name Rolling Loud is set to release sometime next year. The movie stars Owen Wilson and Matt Rife with musical artists Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ski Mask the Slump God making appearances. Directed by Jeremy Garelick, the film further showcases Rolling Loud’s impact transcending beyond live musical events flowing into new territories of entertainment, business and art.

The Entrepreneurs Behind the Festival

Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler aren’t just business-savvy—they are game changers who think outside the box when building a franchise music festival. Starbucks is to coffee what Rolling Loud is to hip-hop & rap. Friends since elementary school, the duo understands what hip-hop lovers want: fashion, music, and a good time.

Matt Zingler was once quoted in Forbes saying, “It’s really just a nightclub, just a little bit bigger,” referencing Rolling Loud’s festival roots and his past experience as a nightclub manager. Zingler, who initially studied biological science, pivoted into a full-fledged business career and continues to thrive alongside his co-founder and friend Tariq Cherif.

Cherif has shown appreciation for his humble beginnings, even bringing his grandmother on stage in the past as a tribute to where it all started—throwing house parties at his grandmother’s home before evolving into the global festival phenomenon Rolling Loud is today.

In a recent interview with Uproxx, Cherif called Rolling Loud the “hip-hop Disney,” a statement that reflects the festival’s massive cultural significance. This was further reinforced by Jay-Z’s presence at this year’s event, attending alongside his daughter Blue Ivy—showing that Rolling Loud isn’t just for young hip-hop fans, but for all ages. Attending Rolling Loud, Jay-Z, a business mogul himself, confirms RL is not only an event but a successful business that’s just getting started. Jamie Foxx, who was also in attendance with his daughter Anelise Foxx, mentioned his daughter launching her own music fest proving RL & its team influences the world of tomorrow.
