It was only a matter of time before the World Cup arriving in Miami got the soundtrack it deserved. With Hard Rock Stadium playing host to a slate of 2026 matches, Dayglo Presents and GMP Live have teamed up to launch Rhythm Of The Cup, a four-week event series turning the Miami Beach Bandshell into a nightly cultural pre-game from June 20 through July 17, 2026. The bill leans into funk and electronica, the venue leans into 60-plus years of Miami history, and the calendar leans against the tournament itself. Every concert deliberately programmed the eve of select World Cup matches.

The headliners are stacked. Chromeo, the Grammy-nominated Canadian electro-funk duo, closes the run on Friday, July 17. Thievery Corporation the D.C.’s trip-hop pioneers return to the Bandshell for their third straight year on Friday, June 26. Scottish funk-punk outfit High Fade plays Tuesday, June 23, and nu-disco favorites Poolside take Friday, July 10.

Thievery Corporation — Friday, June 26, 2026.

“The World Cup is such a special and global event, and Miami — specifically the historic Miami Beach Bandshell — feels like it was built to be a part of it.”

— Gideon Plotnicki, Founder & Head of Programming, GMP Live

The framing is what makes Rhythm Of The Cup feel like more than a booking exercise. Every headliner hails from a competing nation, and every show is timed the day before that country plays at Hard Rock Stadium. High Fade lands on the eve of Scotland vs. Brazil. The series functions as an unofficial parallel festival,  a place to gather, dance, and tee up tomorrow’s kickoff with the right kind of mood music.

Poolside — Friday, July 10, 2026.

For fans who didn’t pull tickets to Hard Rock Stadium, the Bandshell also doubles as Miami Beach’s communal big screen. Four World Cup watch parties are woven through the schedule: Argentina vs. Austria on Monday, June 22, the highly-anticipated Scotland vs. Brazil match on Wednesday, June 24, and both Semi-Finals on July 14 and July 15, with doors opening well ahead of each kickoff.

The series opens with one of its more inspired touches. On Saturday, June 20, Dayglo’s Rock and Roll Playhouse takes over the Bandshell with The Music of Bad Bunny for Kids — a fully interactive family concert featuring rainbow parachutes, audience-and-performer call-and-response, and local Miami musicians reinterpreting the Puerto Rican superstar’s catalog. It’s also Father’s Day weekend, which is either a coincidence or a very deliberate one.

Chromeo — closing night, Friday, July 17, 2026.

“We’re excited to showcase a mix of incredible live bands that all feel at home in Miami, family-friendly programming, and watch parties that we think will appeal to locals and tourists alike.”

— Gideon Plotnicki, GMP Live

There’s credibility to who’s putting this together. GMP Live, founded by Plotnicki in 2019, has been the Bandshell’s primary booker since 2020 and last year entered a long-term partnership with Peter Shapiro’s Dayglo Presents — the indie music empire behind Brooklyn Bowl, The Capitol Theatre, and Relix magazine.

Miami knows how to throw a party. Rhythm Of The Cup proposes something smarter: a city using a global moment to put its own venues and its own communal rhythm forward. Soccer pitch to the beach, and back again. Bring sunscreen. Bring jerseys.

Rhythm Of The Cup runs June 20 through July 17, 2026 at Miami Beach Bandshell 7275 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL.
