The queen of rap has finally returned and graced the people with news of the exclusive release of her newest single, “Last Time I Saw You,” on TikTok.
After a summer of waiting for Nicki Minaj to make her way back onto the charts, fans finally get a taste of her highly-anticipated new projects. The queen announced the exclusive release to her fans and followers on X, providing them with the link to listen to “Last Time I Saw You” and telling them that the “Official audio [is] on tiktok.” The exclusive release gives fans a longer teaser of her new track and an exciting glimpse into the creation of ‘Pink Friday 2’.
Republic Records’ X account also posted a promo for the new single, telling fans that they can pre-save the track now to have it immediately upon its true release. Minaj has teased fans with bits and pieces of the new track all month by sharing small excerpts of it while on Instagram Live.
Fans immediately responded with excitement to the bits of the song that they were able to hear, with Minaj’s smooth vocals gracing an almost pop-music beat. Minaj responded to her fans’ excitement on X and told them “Glad you like the lyrics. The irony is that my fave part of the whole thing is the very end … like the last 30 seconds. Can’t wait for you guys to hear the whole thing.”
Her fans also cannot wait to hear the whole thing. Her ‘Pink Friday 2’ album is set to drop in November and fans are chomping at the bit to hear a taste of Minaj’s first album since 2018. The Queen is almost fully back in action.
