After a week-long stay in the hospital from severe dehydration and exhaustion, Lil Durk has finally been released.
Durk was hospitalized on July 6th following a show in Ohio. The rapper was unaware of how serious his condition was, thinking it was fairly minor. Doctors at the hospital in Ohio had their concerns and kept him admitted for over a week. While he was admitted, he unfortunately had to miss multiple shows and the ESPY Awards.
Lil Durk told TMZ that he promises to be back soon, saying: “My fans mean everything to me, you’re the reason why I do this. . . I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week[end], attending the ESPY’s and more. But after performing and traveling daily I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion. Once I get my full energy back, it’s back to business which I’m looking forward to. #StillHealing.”
The news came as quite a shock to fans, as Lil Durk had not announced anything about his hospitalization until he was released. Hopefully Lil Durk continues to recover quickly and is able to get back to performing (safely) soon.
