Hot off the tails of their 650 “STUNTMAN” collaboration, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance have come together yet again to re-create the classic 990v4s & celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1998 crime drama, Belly.
The highly-anticipated collection will feature 3 color ways of the shoes, which Joe Freshgoods posted to his Instagram last week. His post included a look at all three pairs of the sneakers, the white Intros with off-white and black accents, the blue and black Keisha Blues, and the black and white Outros. The caption did not reveal a release date, but simply said: “JFG 990V4- Intro & Keisha Blue & Outro “1998”.”
The shoes include a variety of texture, with mesh, suede and leather all combining to re-create the classic style. Co-branding will be seen across all pairs, including the “JFG” logo as well as the “1998 Made in the USA” lettering placed above the New Balance logo on the heel of each shoe.
Alongside the Belly inspired 990v4’s the collaboration is also rumored to include a few apparel items. To continue the celebration of Belly‘s 25th Anniversary, the collection will include a number of streetwear style pieces to compliment the sneakers and ’98 fashion.
Along with a closer look at the Intro and Outro sneakers, the release date has been revealed for the latest Joe Freshgoods x New Balance collaboration. Coming later this month, the entire collection of Belly-inspired 990v4s and apparel will be available on Freshgoods’ website and on New Balance’s website on December 22nd.
