The holiday season is a time for celebration, reflection, and coming together, and the Harold Hunter Foundation (HHF) Holiday Party at the Burton NYC embodied these sentiments with an exuberant celebration of the foundation’s accomplishments and the sense of family that has developed throughout the year.

Hosted by Ray Mendez and Kava, both esteemed board members of HHF, the event served as a platform to highlight the achievements and milestones reached by the foundation and its extended family in 2023. The festivities took place at the Burton NYC, a fitting venue for a night filled with joy, camaraderie, and a shared passion for skateboarding

One of our own Alex Corporan was part of representing the joyous adventures of being part of the foundation and Burton. Also with Charlie Samuels speaking on his iconic photos of Harold Hunter and NYC skateboarding.

One of the significant outcomes of the evening was the knowledge transfer to the younger generation present at the event. The gathering provided a unique opportunity for them to gain insights into the rich history of New York City skateboarding and the cultural relevance of Burton. As the speakers shared their stories, the younger attendees absorbed valuable lessons about the roots of their passion and the interconnectedness of skateboarding with the cultural fabric of the city.
