As the Atlanta Falcons celebrated 50 Years of Hip Hop during Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, Ludacris dropped in with a grand entrance as he rappelled from the stadium ceiling, performing his hit “Move B*tch.”
The Atlanta Falcons have had a long-standing relationship with Hip Hop and announced the 50th Anniversary celebration plans last week, which included a long list of over 60 Atlanta hip- hop artists set to perform at Sunday’s game. Rap legend T.I. walked out with the Falcons as he performed his hit, “Bring Em Out.” Halftime was then filled with a star-studded show, including a mashup performance by Jeezy, Cee-Lo Green, Jermaine Dupri, Big Boi and Quavo.
At the end of the third quarter, Ludacris surprised the stadium by rappelling down from the ceiling of Mercedes-Benz Stadium while getting the crowd riled up with his classic “Move B*tch.” Luda took his own footage of the stunt through a GoPro, which he posted to his Instagram account, joking that he “Got Some Georgia Dome Today,” in reference to the Falcons’ old home state.
Attendees at Mercedes-Benz Stadium were shocked, amazed and impressed, as were many other music artists, who commented on Luda’s video. Tyler, The Creator shared his shock by commenting: “WOW AMAZING.” Redman also commented on Ludacris’s video, saying “EXTREME🔥 🔥 !!”
Overall the Falcons 50 Years of Hip Hop Celebration seems to have been a big success, with hit performances and iconic entrances, all attendees were incredibly entertained. You can check out the video of Ludacris rappelling into the stadium on his Instagram account here.
