Lil Uzi Vert announced to their fans that at the early age of 28, they are planning to retire after their next album comes out.
Uzi is currently still on the Pink Tape Tour, which will be wrapping up this November, and recently made the announcement of their retirement plans at their latest show in Chicago last night. Last night during the show, Uzi began to talk to their fans, explaining that “Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album. No, relax. It’s okay . . . After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.”
The audience was audibly stunned and saddened by the Philadelphia rapper’s announcement. ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ has been being teased to fans for awhile, with no official release date in sight. Lil Uzi Vert has also allegedly been working on another project called ‘Barter 16,’ but so far they have not mentioned how this project will coincide with their retirement plans.
Uzi has mentioned plans of retiring from music before; back in 2019 they posted to their Instagram story saying: “I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supports but I’m done with music. I deleted everything. I wanna be normal. I wanna wake up in 2013. You are free.”
For now at least fans don’t have to be too sad about their retirement and can continue to look forward to ‘Luv Is Rage 3.’
