For the first time in seven years, Zendaya took to the stage with Labrinth to perform during the second weekend of Coachella.
Zendaya has taken quite a break from the music world since her debut album came out in 2013. Although she has not been producing albums, Zendaya was working on different music projects for the popular HBO series, Euphoria. With Labrinth, Zendaya recorded tracks “All for Us” and “I’m Tired” which appeared in seasons one and two of the show. After the second season was released in 2022 and fans got to hear “I’m Tired,” Zendaya was continually met with praise.
Last year, she took to Twitter to tell her fans that she still loves music, “so the kindness and support I’ve received the past few days just for a little tiny tip toe dip back into some music means the absolute world to me.” Fans are hoping to see another new song coming from Zendaya for the third season of Euphoria, which is expected to be released early next year.
The crowd erupted when Zendaya took the stage with Labrinth this past weekend. The energy during their performance was undeniable. Zendaya posted to her Instagram after the performance, “thank you to my brother Labrinth for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again. And to the crowd tonight…wow…my heart is so full, I can’t thank you enough for the love I received tonight, made all my nerves melt away, I’m so grateful.” With this taste of getting back into the music scene, fans can only hope that it gave Zendaya a little inspiration to keep up the good work.
