Debuting with 89,000 first-week units, Young Thug’s new ‘BUSINESS IS BUSINESS’ claimed the spot of No. 2 on Billboard 200.
Young Thug is no stranger to the Billboard charts, ‘Business is Business’ marks his eighth project to hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. The rapper has seen 3 of his projects hit No. 1 on the charts, including his ‘So Much Fun’ album in 2019, ‘Punk’ album and ‘Slime Language 2’ compilation both from 2021. ‘Business is Business’ includes many features from popular artists, including Drake, Future, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert and more.
Thug is still awaiting trial in Georgia to face charges for racketeering, drugs and illegal firearms. This is the same case that Gunna, another YSL recording rapper, was involved and pled guilty in. Sources believe that Young Thug could be facing up to 20 years in prison if found guilty. There is no date set for the trail at this point in time.
It has been said that Young Thug managed to put the album together in less than three weeks, even recording some vocals over the phone. Despite creating the album while waiting for a state trial, Young Thug managed to pull another chart topper out of his hat.
