Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion have finally come to the end of the shooting case that has loomed over them for nearly a full year, and the outcome includes Lanez getting no special treatment as his final appeal attempt was denied.
In his final appeal attempts, Lanez and his legal team submitted a request for bail which would allow Lanez to live with his son and rent a home from an exotic home and car salesman if granted. Judge Herriford did not seem to be persuaded as she declined to agree to terms, saying: “The motion will be denied and proceedings concluded. Thank you.”
Court reporter Meghann Cuniff, who has been following the case since it arrived in LA, tweeted an update saying that “Lanez grinned at his supporters, including his father and friends from the Unite the People legal services group, before being led out.”
Now that Lanez has already run through his opportunities for appealing his sentence to no avail, it seems likely that he is having some regrets about declining the 4 year plea deal that was offered to him. Although with Lanez still insisting that he is innocent in the case, maybe he isn’t having as many regrets as one typically would.
After facing a maximum of almost 23 years in prison and turning down the plea deal of serving only 4 years, Lanez was officially sentenced to 10 years in prison this August. After Lanez serves his 10 year sentence he will also be deported back to his home country of Canada.
