Popular Korean streetwear brand thisisneverthat has teamed up with the Grateful Dead for a third time to create a calm, vintage-inspired capsule collection coming this weekend.
Sticking with the Dead’s iconic imagery, the collection features the band’s Steal Your Face, Dancing Bears, and Skull and Roses images. The collaboration collection is set to include all the basics for the fall, including varsity jackets, zip-up sweatshirts, crewnecks, quarter-zip sweatshirts, hoodies and heavy flannels. At least one of the band’s iconic graphics are comfortably embroidered on each piece of the capsule.
In addition to all of the tops offered in the collection, there will also be a multiple styles of pants and even a few home goods, including a cushion, knit bag and throw blanket. While the tops are offered in a wide array of colorways with brighter embroidered imagery, the pants remain minimalistic. Most of the pants offered in the collection sport a more neutral tone alongside of the Grateful Dead’s imagery.
Yesterday, thisisneverthat took to Instagram to announce a pop-up for the launch of the third collaboration collection. The pop-up will include limited-edition merchandise for fans and customers; additional pieces include the Dancing Bears Denim Cap, the Dancing Bears Keychain and the Grateful Dead Iconography Bandana.
The pop-up will take place at thisisneverthat’s Hongdae Flagship location and be up on Friday, October 6th through Saturday, October 7th. The third collaboration collection between thisisneverthat and the Grateful Dead release online and at thisisneverthat retail stores this Friday October 6th at 10AM KST, or this Thursday at 9PM EST.
