Lil Wayne made a big announcement on his 41st birthday yesterday; his new album ‘Tha Fix Before Tha VI’ will be dropping this Friday, September 29th.
Weezy took to Instagram yet again to make his announcement; after sharing the album cover last week with no accompanying information, he has reposted the new album cover along with the trackless for the album and even a caption. The caption served as the actual announcement, as Lil Wayne wrote: “Tha Fix Before Tha VI – 9/29.”
The tracklist that has fans chomping at the bit includes his most recent single, ‘Kat Food,’ along with 9 new songs. The album includes Jon Batiste, Euro and Fousheé as featured artists on 3 separate tracks. There is also a song titled ‘Tity Boi’ which may potentially be a tribute to Wayne’s good friend 2 Chainz, who previously went by the alias of “Tity Boi.”
With fans looking forward to Wayne continuing his iconic ‘Tha Carter’ album series with ‘The Carter VI,’ this album will serve as a good snack to hold everyone over as ‘Tha Carter VI’ is on its way. ’Tha Fix Before The VI’ will be Lil Wayne’s first album in nearly 2 years since ‘Trust Fund Babies’ in 2021.
You can check out Lil Wayne’s announcement on his Instagram. Wish Lil Wayne a happy belated birthday and keep your eyes peeled as ‘Tha Fix Before Tha VI’ is set to drop tomorrow, September 29th.
