Welcome to STRIPPED.

There is another world. It isn’t somewhere else. It’s been here all along, just beneath the surface of the one we’ve learned to see.

Salt catches on our lips. Coffee fills the room… an unspoken love language of good morning. Flour settles softly into the grain of a wooden table that’s held generations of family meals. Tape tightens around sore knuckles. Garlic meets hot olive oil. A barber brushes hair across our shoulders tenderly before either of us speaks. A kid bounces a basketball through an empty park just to hear it come back. Someone tears warm bread apart with their hands. Somebody else laughs so hard they forget what they were saying.

None of these moments ask to be remembered.
Somehow, they’re the ones we spend the rest of our lives carrying.
Some things are learned with the tongue long before they’re learned with language.
The surfer waits for a wave that never comes, then another that changes everything. The needle finds the groove before the first beat hits our soul. The boxer retapes the same knuckle. The florist buries her face in eucalyptus with feelings of wholeness. The woman at the diner starts pouring coffee before the regular reaches the counter. A father steadies a bicycle seat with two fingers, then quietly lets go. A child stops in wonder to watch a bumblebee make first moon landing on a blooming flower.
For a moment, the whole world moves at the speed of curiosity.

We’ll remember the smell of chlorine that stayed in our hair until bedtime. Wet sand following us into the car. A familiar laugh finding us before we found the person. That comforting first crackle of a record. A Knicks crowd rising together before the shot falls, electrified by twenty thousand people inhaling at once. The weight of another hand instinctually finding ours without either of us looking down. The sweet smell of peaches that tells you summer has arrived.
Life has a beautiful way of leaving its fingerprints in ordinary places.
This is where we’ll begin. A place where the world is still felt before it’s explained.
Over the next six chapters, we’ll follow the oldest paths we know—touch, smell, taste, sound, sight, and the quiet instinct beneath them all.
You’ve been here before. Welcome to STRIPPED. We’ll meet you at touch.
