To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Snoop Dogg has released a brand new 30th Anniversary Edition of ‘Doggystyle,’ featuring original tracklisting and an exclusive track from the album’s original release.
When ‘Doggystyle’ was initially released in November of 1993, the first 100,000 units sold included popular track “Gz Up Hoes Down.” The song was not found on any copies of the album after that point, and has been a bit of a unicorn to find. For the first time since 1993, “Gz Up Hoes Down” will be back on the ‘Doggystyle’ album.
As he announced the special new edition of the album, Snoop said: “This month marks 30 years since the release of my debut album, ‘Doggystyle,’ I’m so blessed to still be here doin’ my thing. For the Anniversary, I’m excited to release the album including the full OG track list from 1993. Thank you to all my loved ones and fans for riding with me all these years, and I look forward to the next 30. Love y’all!”
The ‘Doggystyle (30th Anniversary Edition)’ is currently available to purchase on vinyl at Walmart, Amazon and select retailers. Each seller has a different color way of the album: Walmart has the cloudy blue vinyl variation with a gold foil cover, Amazon has the clear and black smoke vinyl, and other select retailers have the green and black smoke vinyl.
‘Doggystyle (30th Anniversary Edition)’ is also available to stream now on Spotify and Apple Music.
