As reported by Thrasher Magazine founder Tony Vitello, Jake Phelps, editor-in-chief of the magazine has passed away.
A real icon and legend to the skateboarding community, Phelps helped shape the skate culture to what it is today. There is currently no report of the cause of death but Phelps’ uncle took to Facebook to say he “died suddenly and easy today.”
There’s too many things to be said about the man who help shape a culture we love so much and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
