Candide Thovex has never needed perfect snow. In his new edit “Les Tufs,” he proves it again—dropping into a rough wall of dirt, rock, and patchy snow like it’s a powder day. The nearly five-minute part is his first full segment in years, and it feels like classic Candide: creative, loose, and a little unbelievable.

He’s released plenty of beautiful short clips lately, but nothing this substantial since his Crans-Montana park laps a few years back. Maybe he’s been recovering from that wild 53-meter overshoot he somehow skied away from. Or maybe he’s just been fixated on skiing Les Tufs this whole time.
Either way, we’ll take it. Candide still has a way of making skiing look completely different.
