Madonna Postpones Tour Due to Hospitalization

Yesterday, Madonna’s manager took to Instagram to share the news that Madonna has been hospitalized for multiple days and the Celebration Tour will be postponed.

Guy Oseary, Madonna’s talent manager and producer, announced that Madonna has a “serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU.” He assures fans that although she is still getting medical care, her condition is improving and they expect a full recovery.

Unfortunately, this illness has fallen just a mere weeks before Madonna was supposed to begin her Celebration Tour. Originally, the tour was supposed to begin in Vancouver on July 15th. Due to her condition, Oseary told fans that she must “pause all commitments, which includes the tour.” Because she is not yet fully recovered and still receiving medical care, Oseary mentioned in his social media announcement that Madonna and her team will share the tour’s new start date and rescheduled show dates as soon as they have them.

The Celebration Tour was supposed to go on from July 15th through to January 20th of 2024, taking Madonna throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding her health, Madonna will have to pick the tour back up when she is feeling fully recovered and healthy. When it comes to an icon like Madonna, it is almost guaranteed that the show will be worth the delay.
