Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz & 50 Cent Welcome You to ColleGrove

Just a few days ahead of the release of their joint album, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz have released a teaser trailer for ‘Welcome 2 ColleGrove’ with a special feature narration from 50 Cent.

The trailer was posted to Instagram yesterday as a collaborative post between the three rap icons. As the trailer begins, 50 cent opens by saying: “Let me tell you a story about these two guys that eventually became brothers.” 50 continued to introduce Lil Wayne, or Tunechi, and 2 Chainz, or Tity Boi as the video follows two young men as they deal with their business and drive around the town.

50 Cent’s narration continued to introduce Wayne, saying: “You got this kid named Tune, Tunechi, some shit like that. Straight out of 17th of New Orleans. Been rich since he was like 13, 14 years old. He came with his own style, they tried to steal it. Shit, he ended up putting the whole game on his back.”

Getting to 2 Chainz, 50 said: “And then you got Slim from the South Side of Atlanta, loved basketball, he a real mama’s boy. And that’s how he got the nickname Tity Boi, slicker than a spill of oil. Soon as he got his hands on his first pack and flipped that he never looked back.”

Finally, we get to the two icons coming together as 50 says: “And when they met up and devised a plan on how to take over the land, it kind of went like this… welcome to ColleGrove.”

The end of the trailer rolls out credits for the first 4 songs on the upcoming album, revealing track titles “G6,” “Big Diamonds” ft. 21 Savage, “Presha,” and “Long Story Short.” The credits roll while Lil Wayne drops a few bars in the background, which fans can only assume to be a fresh new verse from the album.
