Landmark Festival Returns: Honoring New York’s Hip Hop Heritage with Art, Music, and Culture

Following an incredible exhibit that ran from January through April, this August 2nd and 3rd a lineup of celebrated artists bring the background into foreground once again, paying homage to some of New York’s most iconic Hip Hop landmarks in the second annual Landmark Festival. Curated by Kate Storch, the weekend will include an incredible lineup of DJs, Performances, Live Painting, Breaking, and more.

Exhibiting Artists include Legendary photographer Joe Conzo, Danny Cortes, Peter Paid, Meres, BlusterOne©, André LeRoy Davis, and Jerms (DJJS1). Artists Painting live include Shiro, Stash and Andre Trenier.

The series plays with the idea of landmarks as locations, but also a pivotal moment. Artists in the lineup create works, adding their own artistic voice and style to celebrate and memorialize the influential locations that provided a place where Hip Hop Culture and Artists emerged and thrived, helping to lay the foundation for the global force Hip Hop is today.

The festival will take place in three locations, all of which dedicate themselves to arts and community: CCLTV NYC on Friday and First Street Green and the Bronx Brewery on Saturday. The weekend will feature music by legends Large Professor, Evil Dee, DJ Eclipse and more. Saturday in the park we have a Breaking Cypher presented by One Society and MZK worldwide. Be prepared for a few surprise appearances and an unforgettable experience.

“Landmark is more than just an exhibit; it’s a celebration of a movement that has shaped generations and crossed cultural boundaries. It serves as a reminder that hip-hop is not just a genre of music but a way of life, influencing art, fashion, dance and more.” – Frank 151
