The British rock group, Gorillaz, has announced they will be playing 4 shows across the US called “The Getaway Shows” starting this September.
The group is not going on an official tour, but will be traveling across the US for 4 limited shows. Gorillaz will be stopping in Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago and Boston to perform at famous venues including amphitheaters and stadiums.
The shows are assumed to be a last hurrah of celebration for their latest album, Cracker Island. So far, Gorillaz has booked a few extra acts to support them throughout their mini-tour. Alongside the Gorillaz will be Remi Wolf, Kaytranada, and Lil Yachty.
The general sale for tickets to all of “The Getaway Shows” is set to go live this week. Tickets will be available this Friday, June 2nd through Gorillaz website.
