Breaking Bad Copycat Caught! These are “High Times”

Breaking Bad. Absolute televised perfection. Many times I question whether my 9 to 5 is really sustainable when I see other people living my dreams…

In 2010, Edward McCann was diagnosed with leukemia and was undergoing therapy when he turned to cannabis to alleviate the unpleasant side-effects attributed to chemo. However, this sticky-icky treatment didn’t stop there, as Edward became a homegrown drug manufacturer in Hampshire, England.

According to The Times, the business owner started growing his own cannabis, at first on a small scale before expanding his operation to require the use of an ‘industrial-scale cannabis factory’ hidden at a remote farmhouse in Wales.

Unlike Walter White, from AMC’s extremely popular series, Breaking Bad, who spent his time on the series trying to keep his life as the world’s greatest meth cook a secret from his family, McCann made his cannabis empire a family business. Meaning, his wife AND son have also played roles in manufacturing and distribution.

The police estimate that the McCann’s generated around $4.3 million in profit from selling cannabis, with some of that money going towards the university fees of daughter Samantha. The price exponentially grew considering Edward was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months behind bars. His wife Linda, sentenced to 6 years and 7 months, and his son Daniel receiving 8 years and 6 months… Shoulda called Saul.

Forbes HATES this entrepreneur cash hack and I cant blame ’em. Shoutout to Walter White 2.0.
