To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dr. Dre’s debut album The Chronic, a new collection of merchandise has been released.
The Chronic was originally released as a mixtape in 1992 under Dr. Dre’s record label, Death Row Records, and was Dre’s first solo album after leaving N.W.A. and Ruthless Records. The album has since gone triple platinum, after selling three million copies in the United States.
The Chronic spent eight total months on the Billboard Top 10 list and is still considered one of the most significant and influential albums of the 90’s. After The Chronic in 1993, Dre broke into the top 10 list of best-selling American performers.
Celebrating this iconic album, the new merchandise collection includes clothing and a few extra goodies. The wearable pieces in the collection feature hoodies, long-sleeved shirts, t-shirts, and a hat; each piece with a graphic on it to represent The Chronic, including the album artwork on the t-shirt. The few extra goodies in the collection include a rolling tray, an air freshener, as well as CD and Cassette versions of The Chronic.
The Chronic 30th anniversary celebratory merchandise collection became available last week on April 20th. All pieces are available to shop now on Interscope Records’ website.
