Don’t Sleep on These Artists at Hard Summer 2025
Summer in SoCal doesn’t really begin until HARD Summer hits the calendar—and despite a few sweaty complaints last year, the beloved fest is back at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium grounds for round two on August 2nd and 3rd.
Now in its third consecutive year in LA, Insomniac’s genre-smashing rave-palooza is sticking to its guns: booking a buffet of BPMs across house, techno, bass, trap, breaks, and beyond. Last year brought heavy-hitters like Disclosure, Deadmau5, and the all-out house euphoria of Chris Lake b2b Fisher, not to mention that unexpectedly iconic Nelly Furtado moment. (Still can’t get “I’m Like a Bird” out of our heads.)
This year? Just as stacked. Dom Dolla returns to bring the heat, while Kaytranada headlines with his signature blend of soul, funk, and house. Whether you’re chasing sunrise techno or mainstage chaos, the schedule is sure to cause a few conflicts. (Looking at you, last year: Disclosure, REZZMAU5, Zeds Dead, and Mochakk at the same time?!)
Before the weekend turns into a logistical dance-floor dilemma, here’s a quick cheat sheet of underlined artists you don’t want to sleep on. Set alarms. Stretch. Hydrate. It’s gonna be a hot one in Inglewood.
SATURDAY
The Blessed Madonna
A dance music lifer and certified vibe curator, The Blessed Madonna always delivers sets that feel like gospel for house heads. Known for seamlessly blending disco, techno, and Chicago-rooted deep cuts, she’s been a staple from Boiler Room sets to BBC Radio 1. Whether you caught her as “The Black Madonna” in her earlier, darker sets or have been locked into her more soulful shows lately, you already know—this is church.
Busta Rhymes
HARD always throws a curveball, and this year’s non-EDM legend slot goes to none other than Busta Rhymes. The man’s a living embodiment of energy. Expect a hype-fueled set full of rapid-fire bars, classics like “Break Ya Neck” and “Touch It,” and—if we’re lucky—some surprise cameos. It’s giving old-school hip-hop rage with festival-sized fire.
Kaytranada
Born in Haiti, raised in Montréal, and beloved by hipsters and house heads, Kaytranada is one of the chillest sets you’ll find this weekend—without losing the bounce. His Grammy-winning blend of soul, funk, R&B, and deep grooves is a masterclass in cool. Still one of the best Boiler Room sets ever made—watch it for the crowd alone. Perfect if your feet need a break from relentless 140 BPMs.
Marlon Hoffstadt (DJ Daddy Trance)
Straight outta Berlin, Marlon Hoffstadt, aka DJ Daddy Trance, is here to blur the line between techno and trance—and he’s doing it fast. His tracks like “It’s That Time” inject rave euphoria into high-octane BPMs, making him one of the few artists bridging the gap between genre purists and new-school ravers. If you want to sweat, smile, and fist-pump simultaneously, this is your guy.
SUNDAY
Fcukers
How do you even pronounce it? No one knows. What we do know is Fcukers bring a raw punk energy to the stage. Think less DJ set, more electro-clash riot. Frontwoman Shannon Wise channels riot grrrl spirit in the same breath as Karen O, backed by beats that nod to LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, and modern-day chaos. Loud, weird, cathartic—exactly what you need to reset your ears and limbs.
@fcukerss
Four Tet
A living legend. Four Tet has been flipping genres and heads for over two decades, from ambient electronica to warehouse bangers. He’s one-third of the Pangbourne House Mafia with Skrillex and Fred Again.., and famously stepped in to save Coachella after Frank Ocean dipped out. His sold-out Forum show was transcendent—don’t miss this one.
@soundofhousemusic Dropping this after Fisher ‘Losing It’ as well 😅 #fredagain #skrillex #coachella #fourtet #coachella2023 #liveconcert #electronicmusic #dubstep #foryoupage #fyp
James Hype
Don’t let the name fool you—James Hype actually lives up to it. The UK superstar is a wizard behind the decks, slicing and layering tracks with unmatched precision. Watch one of his high-speed mashup sets on YouTube and try not to get hooked. His technical skills are next level, but the crowd energy is what really seals the deal. You’ll dance. You’ll yell. You might even Shazam mid-shuffle.
@jameshype Paris I got goosebumps 🔥 This moment with the crowd was unreal 🇫🇷
Barry Can’t Swim
If you haven’t heard of Barry Can’t Swim, get ready to fall in love. Hailing from the UK but with a global vibe, his sets blend house, jazz, breakbeats, and indie dance into a sun-kissed stew of emotion. Tracks like “Sonder” and “How It Feels” have festival sunset written all over them. Expect smiles, slow builds, and the kind of set that feels like a deep breath before the night kicks in.

Final Thoughts
From rap icons to dance disruptors, HARD Summer 2025 is once again serving a stacked buffet of sound. Whether you’re at the mainstage, vibing at the Pink Stage, or chasing the Cuervo Art Car, this year’s lineup guarantees sweat, chaos, and unforgettable moments.
Still debating who to see? Dom Dolla is back to deliver crowd-wrecking house energy—expect to hear “Miracle Maker”, “Saving Up”, and more bassline bliss. French techno god Gesaffelstein will turn his set into a dystopian fashion show with razor-sharp edits of tracks like “Pursuit”. Klimanjaro b2b Melé brings global grooves and tribal percussion, while Sara Landry turns up the BPM with her signature industrial techno fury. For a more melodic trip, Mita Gami b2b Adam Ten fuses deep house with Middle Eastern flair, and Airwolf Paradise b2b Torren Foot promise chunky bass and bounce from Down Under.
Bottom line: this lineup’s so good, set conflicts are inevitable. Grab your tickets now before they disappear. We’ll see you in Inglewood—hydrated, stretched, and ready to dance.
