Doja Cat hits the charts this week as her newest album, ‘Scarlet,’ has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
Doja’s new album sits pretty on the top half of the charts just below Rod Wave at No. 1, Olivia Rodrigo at No. 2 and Morgan Wallen at No. 3. ‘Scarlet’ has gained 72,000 equivalent album units in just one week, with 65,000 in streaming, 6,000 from album sales and 1,000 in track equivalent album units.
Her latest single from the album, “Paint the Town Red” recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as the first rap track to hit the top of the charts so far in 2023. ‘Scarlet’ hitting No. 3 marks Doja’s third time in the Top 10.
After changing up her vibe and experimenting with a new sound for her fourth studio album, it may be safe to say that her risks and efforts have paid off as her fans are obviously enjoying the new Doja.
