Yesterday morning, the man behind the notorious scam music festival, Billy McFarland, took to TikTok to announce the updates in his plans for Fyre Fest 2, which includes a Fyre Fest 1.5.
Last month McFarland tweeted that Fyre Festival II is officially coming and asking his followers to tell him “Why you should be invited.” According to his social media announcement yesterday, the famous conman is now in the process of creating a Broadway musical entitled Fyre Fest 1.5.
McFarland claims that he will soon have paid back all his restitution from the original Fyre Festival disaster, and then move forward and execute Fyre Festival 2 “according to the original vision on this incredible and beautiful island.” After the massive failure that was Fyre Festival 1, crowds are likely to be extremely hesitant to invest their time and money into this festival again.
No further details have been released outside of McFarland’s TikTok, there are no insights as to who his partners may be for these projects but there is certainly plenty of skepticism. The only way to imagine these projects being successful would be if McFarland found himself some extremely trustworthy and popular partners to help him execute his plans.
Speculations can be made that the musical may be a satire about Fyre Festival 1, it’s notoriety, and the repercussions including McFarland’s 4-year sentence. However, there are no official details of what the plot line of the musical, Fyre Fest 1.5, will be, nor are there any more details on Fyre Festival 2.
