After a short lull in production last year, Balenciaga has hit the ground running again with a new Skatewear capsule.
Sticking with Balenciaga’s oversized aesthetic, the collection includes essential pieces like t- shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants. The varsity “Balenciaga” emblem is prominently shown on the pieces in the new “Skatewear” motif, which also looks to use the graffiti aesthetic.
The hoodies are baggy and even have a distressed appearance, adopting the carefree and cozy vibe exemplified by the skate scene. The hoodie and long sleeve are available in traditional black and white, while the t-shirts and sweatpants come in shades of blue, black, and grey.
It was nice to see Balenciaga make its return last month at Paris Fashion Week, and now this week we get the new skate-inspired capsule. See the whole collection on Balenciaga’s website.
