To celebrate beloved singer, Amy Winehouse, HarperCollins is set to publish a new book including Winehouse’s unread personal journals, photographs, and handwritten lyrics.
The book will be published later this summer, in honor of what would be Winehouse’s 40th birthday. Amy Winehouse tragically passed away due to alcohol poisoning 12 years ago in July of 2011 at the young age of 27. During her singing career, Winehouse won 5 Grammy awards and was incredibly well known for her blues style and vocal range.
Winehouse’s parents and foundation, the Amy Winehouse Foundation, both helped HarperCollins to create ‘In Her Words.’ In nearly 300 pages, the book will dive into Amy Winehouse’s life, rise to fame and creative process through her personal journals.
Publisher HarperCollins describes the book as an “intimate tribute [that] traces her creative evolution growing up in North London to global stardom, providing a rare insight into the girl who grew up to be a legend.”
‘Amy Winehouse: In Her Words’ will be published and available to read beginning this summer on August 29th.
