To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his first album, Get Rich or Die Trying, 50 Cent has planned “The Final Lap Tour,” which includes an all-encompassing tour route going through North America, Europe, and the UK.
Originally released in February of 2003, Get Rich or Die Trying had many guest features from G- Unit members, Eminem, Young Buck and more. The album sold over 870,000 copies in the first week of being released, taking it to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. After its release, Get Rich or Die Trying became the highest-selling album of the year and went on to win the GRAMMY for Best Rap Album.
With the number of accolades, the album received when it was first released, it is no wonder the 20th anniversary would call for celebration. Get Rich or Die Trying is still sitting pretty, being a certified 9x platinum record.
“The Final Lap Tour” will have both Busta Rhymes and Jeremih joining 50 Cent. Beginning in late July, the tour starts in Salt Lake City, Utah, and travels throughout North America through to mid-September. Once the North American shows are done, the tour will head over to Europe and the UK through early November. It seems as though Busta Rhymes will be with 50 Cent throughout the entire tour, while Jeremih will be making guest appearances at numerous shows.
Produced by Live Nation, tickets for “The Final Lap Tour” will be on general sale starting May 12th at 10:00 AM EST.
