Nas has reached another career milestone, headlining and selling out New York City’s Madison Square Garden for the first time during a tribute to de La Soul’s Trugoy this Friday, February 24.
The New York rapper paused his set to play the opening verse on De La Soul’s hit single “Buddy” and then yelled out to the crowd: “Make some noise for Trugoy, De La Soul. Rest in Poetry!”
The sold-out crowd also witnessed live renditions of Nas’ greatest hits, including “The World Is Yours,” “Make You Look,” and “If I Ruled The World.” Nas also featured album cuts like “Get Down” and guest verses including his contribution to Missy Elliott’s “Hot Boyz.”
