One of the most memorable scenes in the Godfather Part II is when Fredo joins Michael in the rowboat on the lake behind their Mansion, never to be seen again. The lavish mansion and estate used as a filming location in this classic is the Fleur du Lac Estate on Lake Tahoe; which was originally constructed by one of America’s most famous industrialists Henry Kaiser. His companies built the Hoover Dam just before he conceived the idea for the home. For those who want to live a bit like a Corleone the estate is now up for sale for a price tag of $5.5 million USD, according to Sotheby’s International Realty. In the film, the Fleur du Lac Estate serves as the venue for Michael Corleone’s son’s First Communion party. The home’s interior space of 4,200 square feet has five separate suite bedrooms on the second floor, including a master suite with an individual fireplace. Last but not least, the estate comes with access to a yacht club, the boathouse and even a private beach.
