Timbaland has reunited with some of his OG collaborators to release his first single in over eight years, “Keep Going Up,” with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake.
“Keep Going Up” is allegedly a teaser for Timbaland’s upcoming album, set to drop this fall. Timbaland also released a behind the scenes video to give fans a peek into the creation of the new single. While working with Brandon Stewart and Brandon Cordoba, who created the track’s beat, Timbaland was able to take the base of what they brought and add his own style and flair to give it a classic Timbaland vibe.
Timbaland, Timberlake and Furtado have not collaborated for over 15 years, since their 2007 hit “Give It To Me” hit the charts. “Give It To Me” later became a part of Timbaland’s ‘Shock Value’ album and currently holds over a billion streams.
Since reuniting with Justin Timberlake, the two men will collaborate throughout the 2023-24 football season to curate the playlists for select Monday Night Football games. Timberlake’s latest album, 2018 ‘Man of the Woods,’ hits 5 years old this year while Furtado’s most recent album, ‘The Ride,’ will see its 6th anniversary.
“Keep Going Up” by Timbaland featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake was produced through a new partnership between Def Jam Recordings and Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group. The single is available to stream on all platforms now.
