
Elliston, South Australia, has a small and very dedicated surf community. It’s also the most dangerous place in Australia — maybe the world — to be a surfer. Each year about 1400 adult white sharks swim past their surf zones. Every now and then, one takes a human toll. This is a place where surfers deal with loss as a regular part of their surfing lives.
