Scooter Braun, CEO of HYBE America, has entered an agreement to acquire the Hip-Hop music label, Quality Control. The Atlanta-based entertainment company covering music- including artists such as Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, Migos, and City Girls- film, television, and sports will now merge with HYBE America.
The deal, announced earlier on February 8th, is valued at $320 million in both stock and cash.
This marks the first significant move Braun has made since stepping up as the solo CEO of the company last month. HYBE is a member of the South Korean music giants, managing huge names like BTS and Tomorrow X Together.
This deal comes as HYBE constantly looks beyond K-pop and the Asian market for growth. It aligns with HYBE’s mission to build a global entertainment label.
HYBE America will now oversee the Quality Control label.
