This week on X, Netflix revealed that a new Dave Chappelle comedy special will be coming to the streaming service in time for fans and audiences to ring in the new year laughing.
Netflix took to social media to share a short video to share the news with their followers. Chappelle’s “C” logo is shown being lit up in the beginning of the video, as the crowd begins to roar in the background and Chappelle’s voice is heard thanking them. The video then goes to a black screen with the words: “DAVE IS BACK” as Morgan Freeman is heard laughing and telling the viewers: “He’s back, folks.”
The video ends by announcing the comedy special will be arriving only on Netflix this New Year’s Eve, December 31st.
Chappelle nor Netflix have announced any further information about the special. It is not yet known where the special was filmed, when it happened or what the title will be. What is known is that audiences will receive a 6th Dave Chappelle special in 6 years from Netflix, and no one is complaining.
