Early this morning Lil Uzi Vert’s new Pink Tape album was released to streaming services, quickly causing an overload of streamers and crashing Spotify.
Lil Uzi Vert announced the creation of Pink Tape all the way back in 2020 via an Instagram Live video. Fans have been itching for the new album ever since, with Uzi giving minimal details and short updates ever since. This excitement only continued to grow in March when Uzi told the Rolling Loud crowd that they were “putting the final touches” on the album.
Pink Tape’s release saw some creative delays, but there is no doubt it was worth the wait. The album holds 26 songs and totals about an hour and a half of music. Uzi also enlisted a number of other stars to feature on the album, including Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Bring Me The Horizon, Don Toliver, and BABYMETAL.
Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape is out now and available to stream on all platforms, including Spotify, despite the issues earlier this morning. It is no surprise that the amount of fans waiting for the album drop would be capable of crashing Spotify.
