LeBron James commented on Kyrie Irving’s trade to the Dallas Mavericks.
LeBron James the Los Angeles Lakers player took to Twitter on Sunday, tweeting, “Maybe It’s Me.”
On Sunday when news came out that Irving was traded to the Mavericks in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Doran Finney-Smith, a first-round pick, and multiple second-round picks. While LeBron didn’t name Irving in his tweet, fans in the replies speculated that the tweet was about the former Brooklyn Nets player—and that, perhaps, LeBron is jokingly suggesting that he’s the one to blame for him and Irving not being reunited in Los Angeles.
James has mentioned before that he thinks Irving would be an asset to the Lakers. When asked if Irving could help James’ team “get to the finish line,” he responded, “My mindset is whatever lineup or whatever group that we have is to make sure we prepare ourselves the best way we can to go out and win. Obviously, that’s a—what’s the word you use—‘duh’ question when you talk about a player like that,” per Yahoo Sports.
