Following a medical emergency about a month ago, Jamie Foxx and his daughter, Corinne, have announced plans for a new music game show, “We Are Family.”
The news of Foxx doing well enough to announce a new project of this size has come as a pleasant surprise to many. After his troubling medical emergency was followed by a few dramatized reports, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, announced that Foxx had been recovering comfortably at home for weeks. She is unsure of where the comments claiming he was still in the hospital had come from but confirmed that he has been home recuperating and even begun some light activity.
Debuting in 2024, “We Are Family” will include performances by secret celebrities and their relatives in front of a live studio audience of 100 contestants. The live audience contestants will then have to match the celebrity performers to their relatives for a chance to win $100,000 prize.
Jamie and Corinne Foxx recently gave a press release about the new game show. The report says “We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam. We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”
President of Unscripted Programming at FOX Entertainment, Allison Wallach, also spoke to reporters about Jamie and Corinne’s new show. She said that “Jamie and Corinne are important partners to the FOX Family. Their boundless energy and charming interplay with contestants are irresistible, which make them perfect hosts of We Are Family. This series joins FOX’s fast-growing list of premium music-centric competition series.”
There is no official premier date set for We Are Family just yet. All we know for now is that we can expect to see it come to life sometime next year!
