Welcome to Episode 5 of the Surf100 Challenge Series Presented by Pacifico, the fifth of eight battles in our $100,000 civil war. Last week, we lost our fourth surfer — Cam Richards — to Surf100’s most dreaded challenge: “The Zero Sum Game”. With Mateus Herdy, Noah Beschen, Ian Crane, and Cam Richards gone, only four surfers remain in contention: Jacob Willcox, Rasta Robb, Eithan Osborne, and Sebastian Williams. Now, let’s reveal the fourth challenge: A game of SURF (like SKATE) at Waco Surf.
- Similar to SKATE, played 1v1
- Offense calls out their trick. If they land it, defense gets one shot to land it too. If they don’t, they get an “S”, then a “U”, and so on…
- The roles then switch and the other surfer calls their trick — repeating the process.
- This continues until the final letter, “F”, where the defensive surfer gets two shots to match the trick. If they don’t, they’re OUT
- 2 winners from the First Round are safe and onto the next episode
- 2 losers from the First Round go to the Losers Round
- Whoever then loses in the Losers Round, goes home.
