One of New York City’s most prolific bakeries, Magnolia Bakery, has partnered with Incredibles to revamp some of their classic fan-favorite recipes into THC-infused edibles.
This will be Magnolia’s entry into the cannabis industry, with Incredibles being a well-seasoned partner with award-winning products. The limited-edition collaboration products “celebrate the brand’s most iconic, fan-favorite flavors in a new light.”
The new THC-infused products will include Magnolia’s famous banana pudding and red velvet cupcakes in new and improved form. The classic desserts are transformed into limited-edition THC-infused chocolate bars, each with 100mg of THC and 100mg of CBD per bar – or 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBD per piece of chocolate.
The Swirled Famous Banana Pudding Bar brings all the flavors of the iconic Magnolia favorite together, with creamy vanilla pudding, crunchy vanilla cookies and freeze-dried bananas all coming together in perfect harmony. The Red Velvet Piece Ahhh Cake Bar stays similarly consistent to their classic dessert, making sure the chocolate bar still hits all notes of crimson cake, rich cream cheese and dark chocolate.
The VP of Partnerships at Magnolia Bakery, Sara Gramling, told reporters that the goal is to “continue to introduce Magnolia Bakery to audiences nationwide, outside the reach of our bakeries. . . We’ve seen plenty of feedback from our fantastic fans who have enjoyed banana pudding or red velvet cake as their munchies of choice and we knew by working with the award-winning Incredibles team, we could combine the two into something truly unique and delicious.”
Gramling also said that Magnolia was impressed by the Incredibles brand while looking for potential partners; not only do their products hit the highest-quality, but their packaging and branding was a perfect fun fit for Magnolia. Incredibles is manufactured and distributed by a larger cannabis company, Green Thumb Industries Inc., who own and operate cannabis retail stores across the nation.
Green Thumb’s SVP of Revenue, Dominic O’Brien, told reporters that “there are few bakeries as recognized as Magnolia Bakery, with their world-renowned treats that customers flock to. And in cannabis, there is nothing like Incredibles, the number one best-selling chocolate edibles brand across all our existing markets. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Magnolia Bakery on this collaboration, crossing their classic flavors with our commitment to deliver an ‘effect you can expect’ that Incredibles is famous for.”
While this all sounds well and good, New Yorkers are in for some sad news as the limited-edition goodies will not be available for purchase in the state of New York. The edibles will only be available through Incredibles online and in its retail partners in Illinois, Nevada and Massachusetts. Unfortunately due to differing cannabis laws in the US, shipping the edibles nationwide is illegal, meaning that Magnolia Bakery and Incredibles enthusiasts will have a tough time obtaining the edibles if they are not in one of the three previously mentioned states.
