Following Drake’s most recent partnership with his apparel brand NOCTA and Nike’s “Love You Forever” Air Force 1 restock, NOCTA and Nike are back again with their latest 8K Peaks Collection of apparel.
Inspired by acclaimed mountain climber, Nirmal Purja, the collection focuses on functionality technicality. Purja is known in the climbing world for making 14 different ascents to peaks over 8,000 meters, having to withstand harsh conditions. To tip their hats to Purja, the NOCTA x Nike 8k Peaks collection is comprised of outerwear and winter gear.
The collection includes the Ascent LS Tee, the Tahr Sherpa Zip-Up, the NOCTA DLMTS 8000 Jacket, a women’s Chalet Polar Top and Chalet Polar Pants, the Summit Pant, the Cold Breath Bala, and the Teddie Headie. The heaviest duty of the items is the NOCTA DLMTS 8000 Jacket, which is water repellent, lined with a polyester sherpa, and includes a detachable hood.
The Ascent LS Tee comes in both obsidian and orange horizon, while the Tahr Sherpa Zip-Up comes in deep jungle green and iron grey. The women’s Chalet Polar Top and Pants are available in a deep obsidian blue; the set is made entirely of a fluffy polyester fabric with cotton lining, made to keep you warm. The Chalet Top is made with elastic bindings at each hem and cuff to secure it in place, as well as a large hood with a panel around the neck to keep the cold out.
The Summit Pants are waterproof track pants, made with multiple mesh-lined pockets and an extra velcro closure covering the zipper. The Summit Pants are available in both deep jungle and black. Lastly, the 2 accessories included in the collection, the balaclavas and headbands, both come in all black. Both made with warm, breathable materials, the Teddie Headie features a polyester faux fur while the Cold Breath Bala uses Nike Therma-fit technology.
The prices of the collection vary, with the cheapest item being the Teddie Headie for $25, and the most expensive being the NOCTA DLMTS 8000 Jacket for $600.
