Fans have been patiently awaiting Diddy’s upcoming ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid’ for over a year now, but yesterday Diddy finally gave them an official release date.
Diddy posted a video to Instagram yesterday to announce the album’s release date and tease the album. The trailer showed a busy Diddy, going from meetings to the studio, from the past to the present. Home video clips are even shared, showing Diddy dancing with his partner Kim Porter, who tragically passed away about 5 years ago, as well as a video of Diddy more recently holding his newborn child.
There is a VoiceOver of Diddy throughout the video explaining his drive and motivations for ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid’ as it plays clips from Diddy’s life and career. As the video follows Diddy, it shows his creative process while working with Justin Bieber in the studio and meeting with multiple other artists.
The caption that Diddy posted with the trailer reads: “I present to you my new album. The Love Album: Off The Grid / September 15, 2023 R&B is alive! LOVE 🖤 #OTG.” He tagged many other artists in the video, including Mary J Blige, Justin Bieber, French Montana, DJ Khaled, 21 Savage, Swae Lee and more, leaving fans hoping for numerous features throughout the album.
Over the past few years, Diddy has released a few singles including “Sex in the Porsche” and “Gotta Move On (Remix)” in 2022 and “Creepin’ (Remix)” in 2023. ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid’ marks Diddy’s first full album in nearly 20 years, with his most recent album being MMM released in 2015. Coming soon, on September 15th.
