Dave Chappelle was performing in Los Angeles, at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday night when a man rushed onto the stage, tackled Dave violently, and slammed him onto the floor. According to law enforcement, the attacker pointed a gun at Dave while he rushed him onto the stage. The gun was not real; it was a replica of a semi-automatic with a knife attached.
The incident occurred towards the end of Dave’s show, which is part of the “Netflix Is A Joke” festival. After pulling up on Dave, the attacker got up and started running around as Dave’s squad went after him. When they caught up with him, eyewitnesses say, they stomped him out and beat the crap out of him. Jamie Foxx and Busta Rhymes allegedly threw a couple of punches in defense of Dave Chappelle.
