Earlier this week, A$AP Rocky tweeted one word that has his fans rowdy, hoping he is hinting to the release of his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb.
On the first of the month, A$AP tweeted: “AWGEST,” the misspelling of which immediately sent fans into a wave of excitement, ready to decode the message. While most fans are simply assuming that means Don’t Be Dumb will be dropping this month, others are digging even further into it. One fan tweeted their expert decoding work, saying “awgest = August so Carti also part of awge that means Carti and Rocky dropping August.” A$AP has not replied or interacted with this tweet or any other fan responses to confirm or deny the assumptions.
Don’t Be Dumb will be A$AP’s first studio album to release in 5 years, with his most recent album being Testing in 2018. A couple weeks ago the rap star released his first single from the upcoming album, “RIOT (ROWDY Pipe’n),” stirring the pot of excitement for fans. At his Rolling Loud Miami performance A$AP also gave the audience an exclusive preview of Don’t Be Dumb, performing three new songs from the album.
A$AP Rocky has been continuing to get fans excited and ready for the release of Don’t Be Dumb. However, there is no release date or even release month confirmed yet. Fans can only hope that they are decoding A$AP’s tweet correctly and they won’t have to wait much longer.
