With Lil Uzi Vert’s recent release of Pink Tape, Billboard 200 finally has a hip-hop record ranking at No. 1 for the first time this year.
Pink Tape holds 26 tracks and debuted with 167,000 total equivalent units in its first week of being released. There were 210.39 million on-demand streams of the songs on the album, making it 2023’s biggest week in streaming of any rap, hip-hop or R&B project. Pink Tape sold 11,000 albums along with 2,000 in track equivalent album units, and streamed 1540,000 equivalent album units.
Lil Uzi Vert is no stranger to the No. 1 spot on the charts. Pink Tape is his third top charter, with his previous albums Eternal Atake and Luv Is Rage 2. Also on the top of the chart this week is Morgan Wallen at No. 2, Peso Pluma at No.3 and Taylor Swift at No. 5. SZA and Gunna also grace the lower half of the Top 10 chart.
Lil Uzi Vert will be going on his Pink Tape Tour later this fall. The tour will travel throughout the US beginning on October 21st in Minnesota and ending November 22nd in Philadelphia. The Pink Tape Tour dates are listed below. Tickets are available now.
