2Tone Discusses Born x Raised Future After Spanto’s Death

After a car crash this past June caused Chris “Spanto” Printup’s death, Born x Raised co- founder Alex “2Tone” Erdmann has announced via Instagram that the brand will be continuing operations yet again.

2Tone posted through the Born x Raised brand Instagram to tell their customers and fans the story of the brand’s inception with his longtime friend and business partner. He continued to announce the brand will continue productions, saying “Spanto leaves behind an actual family and his BXR family, and they all need to eat. Such is life. That being said we need to start moving now.”

The co-founder shared with the public that the brand will resume operations, kicking off with the “Spanto Lives” capsule collection, which drops today, July 21st at 12:00 PM PT. The profits from this collection will go towards Spanto’s family while commemorating an icon in the industry.

The Born x Raised Instagram features a photo of one of Spanto’s daughters wearing a Born x Raised t-shirt with “Spanto Lives” in the top right corner of the shirt. Along with that photo, the brand’s account has also shared a promotional video for the capsule collection, giving viewers an arial view of the hills of Los Angeles while being led to a memorial for Spanto, where his daughter is dancing in one of the “Spanto Lives” t-shirts.

There is no list of items that will be included in the “Spanto Lives” collection, aside from the obvious t-shirt featured in their posts. Fans and customers will just have to wait and see what pieces will be available later this afternoon.

You can see 2Tone’s tribute to his friend and business partner, Spanto, as well as the “Spanto Lives” capsule promotions on the Born x Raised Instagram. The tribute collection will go live on the Born x Raised website today, July 21st, at 12:00 PM PT.
