After news broke out that an NYPD commanding officer of the 72nd precinct told his subordinates to shoot 50 Cent on sight, the rapper is now saying he fears for his life. The rapper has been shaming Emanuel Gonzalez, the commanding officer responsible for the threat and has even taken steps to take legal action.
50 said, “I’m afraid for my life, I haven’t been able to sleep since I learned of this. The cops never notified me of the threat.”
There are claims that Gonzalez’s threat to 50 Cent was fake and humorous and should not have been taken seriously. Unfortunately for the commanding officer, this matter is being taken very seriously from 50’s side.
50’s rep told TMZ, “Mr. Jackson takes this threat very seriously and is consulting with his legal counsel regarding his options going forward.”
This all seems to be stemming from an Instagram post where 50 accused Gonzalez of “shaking down” a club owner and closed out the post with his signature catchphrase “get the strap.”
