The Kansas City Royals are trolling sportswriters by making “Trap Queen” references in their postgame interviews. According to Andy McCullough, the Royals beat writer for the Kansas City Star, the players are fining each other for not finding ways to work “1738” into their interviews.

Example: Lorenzo Cain, when asked about his favorite defensive play of the season, responded that you could name “17 to 38 great plays” that the team has made. If for some reason you didn’t already know this, 1738 Remy Boyz is the name of Fetty Wap’s clique. They took their name from Remy Martin 1738, an expensive-ish brand of cognac that Fetty and the Remy Boyz drink.

Watch Lorenzo Cain of the Kansas City Royals shoutout Fetty in the video below, meanwhile, we’ll just be here, quietly praying for the release of some official Royals x Remy Boyz merch in the near future.

Let us know the craziest situation in which you’ve encountered 1738 in your daily life down in the comments.
