The Trap Music Museum in Atlanta announced earlier this week that Future will receive the title and award for Trapper of the Year for 2022.
There will be a celebratory event on June 8th in which Future will be honored. At the event, Future will receive a rare Ice Box Jewelry ring from Trap Music Museum founder, T.I. The celebration will also include live music by DJ Major Key and a whole art exhibit dedicated to Trapper of the Year, Future. The Trap Music Museum announced Future as Trapper of the Year with an invitation to the celebratory event. It was announced via an instagram post that said: “Join us in celebrating our Trapper of the Year and immerse yourself in a world of captivating art at our annual exhibit unveiling on June 8th, from 7pm to 11pm!”
Future had an outstanding year musically in 2022; he released a fan favorite song, ’I Never Liked You,’ which was considered a top hip-hop track of 2022. That same year, he released multiple chart-topping songs, including ’Wait for U’ with Drake and Tems. Despite his lucrative music career, Future’s impact continues to go beyond his work in music. Being from Atlanta, the rapper continually donates and gives back to his hometown by investing in the local education system with hopes of improving STEM education in the area.
With his music and personal accomplishments, it’s no surprise that Future was named Trapper of the Year. Future will be honored next week on June 8th at the Trap Music Museum beginning at 7pm.
