Brooklyn-born lyricist Masta Ace made his debut alongside Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, and Craig G on the 1988 Juice Crew posse cut “The Symphony.” Ace followed that appearance with his first full-length album, Take A Look Around in 1990, and two more LPs before 2001’s Disposable Arts, which is widely regarded as a hip-hop masterpiece.
